Guidelines
.
● Prior to participation in scenes at Purgatory Dungeon satisfactory completion of Purgatory Dungeon Orientation class is
required.
● With the exception of water, food and drink is allowed in designated areas only.
● All cleanup is each member’s personal responsibility. Please provide your own cleaning supplies. Clean and straighten up
after every scene. Be polite and aware that someone else will be using the space after you finish.
● Each Dungeon member is responsible for their own implements.
● The Dungeon Monitor or Mistress is the final authority in the Dungeon and their instructions must be followed at all times.
● In the event of a loud whistle blast all play throughout the Dungeon will stop immediately and members will await
instructions from the Dungeon staff.
● The Dungeon Monitor or Mistress may present a red flag to a scene. In this case the action of that scene is to stop
immediately, and further instructions from Dungeon staff will be followed.
● All play must be negotiated and consented to prior to the beginning of the scene.
● Remain appropriately quiet and keep a respectful distance when near a scene.
● If Dungeon equipment breaks please notify Dungeon Monitor or Mistress as soon as possible.
● Scenes are restricted to 45 minutes in each play area, including prep, cleanup, and in place aftercare. Please have
patience and respect for others.
● If you wish to use an area that is occupied, wait until it is not in use or check with the Dungeon Monitor or Mistress
if an alternate space is available.
● Use of safe words is your personal responsibility. Dungeon safe words are YELLOW (something needs to be adjusted,
but play is not halted) and RED (all play stops until the situation is corrected or the scene ends). When utilizing a gag
or any device which inhibits speech, arrange and communicate to Dungeon Monitor or Mistress an agreed upon non-verbal
sign to be used as a safe word.
● As much as possible, remain mindful of a scene’s potential impact to other scenes in the Dungeon.
● Direct any questions about rules to the New Mexico Purgatory Dungeon Monitor or Mistress.
